What can you do at Nickajack Farms near Canton in October 2026?

A pumpkin, or a whole day out? Decide that first, my loves. Nickajack Farms in North Lawrence has a pumpkin shopping area and a ticketed autumn event. Kingsway in Hartville has its patch, wagon rides and corn maze.

The September 2026 Visit Canton guide lists both events through 31 October. They are two options from the wider area around Canton, rather than two farms inside the city. Find more farms across the state in our Ohio picking guide.

When is Nickajack Farms open for Pumpkin Days in 2026?

Nickajack’s Pumpkin Days run daily from 11am to 7pm through 31 October 2026. The farm’s ticket page gives the dates and activities.

Entry is $17 per person, with children aged two and under admitted free. Pumpkins cost separately. Weekend pony rides are a further $6 per ride, and the food truck and donut cart operate on weekends.

Can you pick a pumpkin at Nickajack or buy one without admission?

Nickajack has a wagon train to its picking patch and a separate area for buying pumpkins without event admission. Those two options are described on the Pumpkin Days page.

If you want to cook what you buy, ask which variety suits your recipe. Nickajack reports growing about 75 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash, including about 25 edible varieties. The shape that looks best on a doorstep may be a different choice.

What does a Kingsway Pumpkin Farm visit cost in October 2026?

Kingsway’s general admission is $12, reduced to $10 from Monday to Thursday. Children aged three and under enter free, according to the 2026 farm information.

The included activities cover the wagon ride, corn maze, animals, straw tunnel, corn box and pedal karts. The pumpkin itself is a separate purchase. Make that distinction before deciding the day’s budget.

When are Kingsway’s wagon rides and corn maze open?

Kingsway opens Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm, with final admission half an hour before closing. Its current visitor page says October wagon rides operate daily, weather permitting.

The 2026 corn maze has a Mount Rushmore design for America’s 250th anniversary. Read the farm’s updates before setting off, especially if the wagon ride is the reason you are going.

Which purchases cost extra at Kingsway Pumpkin Farm?

Kingsway sells pumpkins by weight, at about 35 cents per pound depending on the variety. Its farm information lists the children’s barrel train as a separate $2 ride for riders no taller than 48 inches.

Credit card payments carry a 3% fee; cash has no fee. Decide what you want to buy and take the payment method that works for you. The admission price is only part of that plan.

How should you plan a pumpkin visit near Canton before Halloween?

Choose the date, farm and kind of visit before buying tickets. The current Canton autumn guide lists Nickajack and Kingsway through 31 October; check the farm’s own updates again on your travel day.

A pumpkin shopping trip needs a different amount of time and money from an afternoon using the activities. If choosing a pumpkin is all you want, Nickajack’s separate shopping area is useful to know about.

Where are Nickajack Farms and Kingsway Pumpkin Farm?

Nickajack Farms is at 2955 Manchester Avenue NW in North Lawrence. Kingsway is at 1555 Andrews Street NE in Hartville. Use the Nickajack contact page and Kingsway visitor information for the entrances and contact details.

Check the route from where you are staying and allow time for parking before your visit.

What should you check before paying for a pumpkin farm outing?

Check whether the ticket covers the people, activities and purchases you actually want. Nickajack says its ticket purchases are final, with tickets reusable on another day in the same Pumpkin Days season if you cannot attend your chosen date.

Take shoes suitable for outdoor ground and something to keep the pumpkin secure on the journey home. For another region, start with the US picking guide and check the grower’s current event details. Buy the pumpkin you will use, then enjoy what you came for.
