How is everything scored?
We read the actual composition, ingredients and certifications, whole catalogues, SKU by SKU, never a sample. If the label says "eco" but the data doesn't, the data wins. Every rating links to the named source it came from so you can check it yourself.
Do brands pay to be listed?
No. We're independently funded. A brand can't buy a better score, a badge, or its way off a bad result. When a verified brand offers our readers a discount, it's labelled and never affects the rating.
What's free and what's paid?
The directory, the indexes and the tools are free. Guests get 1 full report read; a free account gets 3 a month. Unlimited reads, compares, full audits and offline reports are for members, from ≈£5/month on the founding yearly plan.
What does "verified" actually mean?
Checked against the fine print, not the marketing, certifications confirmed with the certifier, lapsed ones called out, farm shops and stays checked for eco practices and ownership, and in-person inspections where we can get there.
